Marc De Mesel entrusted his portfolio in 2000 to a large bank. 2 years later 25% of his 'neutral' portfolio was evaporated in the dotcom crash.
After a disapointing year in 2006, he left the bank and started managing his money on his own. In the disastrous year of 2008, when most European investors lost again -30% of their net worth, he lost only -10%.
Starting in 2009, he discovered Harry Browne's permanent portfolio and is now converting his money into a European permanent portfolio.
Marc lives in Antwerp, Belgium, and is 30 years old. He also maintains a Dutch blog about the permanent portfolio at http://www.marcdemesel.be. You can reach him via a comment below the articles or by email.
Note: If you find spelling, calculation or logic errors please let me know. I greatly appreciate it.
